 Ashford Women's Volleyball Camps"CHAMPS INVITE" High School Volleyball Team Camp When: Sunday, June 22, 2008 Where: Kehl Arena, located on the campus of Ashford University Who: Open to girls’ volleyball teams who will be entering high school for the 2008-2009 school year. Entry will be on first-come basis as space allows. It is open to Varsity and JV/Frosh-Soph teams. Cost: $30 per game for all entries received before June 1, 2008. $35 per game for all entries received after June 1. Deadline for tournament entry is June 15, 2008. **PLAYERS: Please fill out the Player Application Form and return it to your coach**
Facilities: Ashford University has three full courts with scoreboards and we have access to additional courts if needed. Kehl Arena has recently been remodeled, is air conditioned and can seat more than 1,000 fans. Check-In: Kehl Arena will open at 7:30 a.m. for teams to check-in. All teams should submit an accurate and official team roster. Teams should bring practice balls, first aid kits, etc. Teams will provide a game ball during their matches.  Warm-Ups: Teams participating in the 8 a.m. match may begin to warm up at 7:50 a.m. Teams will have 10 minutes of combined warm-up for every match. Be prepared to play ahead of schedule. Warm-ups will begin immediately following the previous match. Players may only bring water bottles onto the gym floor in Kehl Arena.Format: Teams may choose to play 2 – 4 matches on Sunday. Teams will be matched up with teams of a comparable and competitive level. Matches: Each match will consist of a team winning 2 of 3 games played to 25 points, win by 2 points and no cap. If needed, the third and deciding game will be played to 15 points, win by 2 points and no cap. Officials and Scorekeepers: Officiating will be done by the Ashford University volleyball team and staff. The officiating team will provide two referees, two line judges and one scorekeeper. Please be considerate of all referees and scorekeepers. Team Camps and Facility Rules: Team camps will only be located in the wooden bleachers in Kehl Arena. Team players, coaches and reps are ONLY allowed to be on the wooden bleachers. All parents, fans and others are asked to use the purple individual seats on the other side. Your team will be disqualified from the tournament if you disobey the facility rules posted on site. The halls and track facilities are NOT to be used to warm up. Admission Fee: Adults & children over 4: $3 Kids under 4: Free. Concessions (drinks, light snacks) & T-shirt sales will be provided by the Ashford University Volleyball Team. |
